Network Rail’s campaign to recruit the next generation of engineering talent to build Britain’s growing railway has won two awards from leading resourcing magazine Recruiter.
The in-house team which recruits for Network Rail’s advanced apprenticeship scheme won ‘most effective recruitment strategy’ and the ‘best candidate experience’ awards.
Adrian Thomas, head of resourcing for Network Rail said: “The rail network is running more trains, more punctually and more safely than ever before. To build an even bigger and better railway for passengers, we need a highly-skilled and talented workforce; our apprenticeship scheme enables us to train people in the very latest technology and skills to help us deliver this.
“It is vital that we attract and retain the best candidates. These awards are great recognition of how we have made a place on our apprentice scheme incredibly sought after, and that candidates’ experience is a positive one, which my experience tells me elsewhere is not always the case. On all fronts our scheme continues to go from strength to strength.”
