Freightliner milestone

On 23rd July the 14:30 departure from Scottish Coal’s distribution point at Killoch, Ayrshire to Fiddlers Ferry Power Station near Warrington, left and arrived on time and included the one hundred millionth tonne moved by Freightliner Heavy Haul.

Established in 1999 in response to customer demand for an alternative rail freight option to the then sole incumbent operator, Freightliner Heavy Haul quickly secured contracts with major blue-chip companies who sought an innovative, reliable and flexible alternative to the traditional providers of their haulage. FHH now operates regularly into all the UK’s rail connected power stations and offer services from all mines and coal ports that serve the energy market.
