Prince of Wales to go on nationwide tour with Royal train

As part of the Start initiative, launched by the Prince of Wales last February, HRH is to undertake a tour of Great Britain visiting communities that lead more sustainable lives.

The tour starts in Glasgow on 6th September and Newcastle, Nottingham, Bristol and Birmingham are just some of the places he will visit before the tour concludes.

During the tour HRH will meet a pensioner who has installed solar panels on her roof, attend a sustainable fashion show and visit community gardens.

Start is a partnership between non-governmental organisations and business. Its aim is to promote a more sustainable way of living.

The Royal train runs on biofuel, so is in keeping with the aspirations of the Prince’s tour.
