HS1 binding offers due in by October 29th

It is reported that bidders for HS1 are to submit binding offers for the high-speed rail link by October 29th.

Preliminary offers to operate the line under a 30 year concession were made last month and successful applicants have been informed if they have made it to the next stage.

The deal is expected to raise approximately £1.5 billion.
