New look for Virgin Pendolino

Alstom and Virgin Trains launched  a co-branded branded Pendolino  at London Euston today.

During the event 390004 was named Alstom Pendolino by Tony Collins, CEO of Virgin Trains.

The event was held to mark the successful partnership between the 2 companies, with Tony saying ” Alstom has never failed to deliver the best service it can”

Pendolino 390004, as a result of an initiative between Alstom, Virgin and Network Rail, is fitted with pantograph and track monitoring equipment which will provide data allowing preventative maintenance of the track and overhead line to be carried out.

After the naming 390004 formed the 11.30 to Glasgow.
